At ADAF, we recognize the central role women play in building strong and resilient societies. In many African communities, women are the backbone of households, agriculture, and local economies. Yet too often, they face barriers to accessing credit, education, and leadership opportunities.
Our Women’s Empowerment Program is designed to remove these barriers by providing micro-loans, entrepreneurial training, and mentorship. Through MUFFA (Mutuelle Financière des Femmes Africaines), we offer women the chance to save, borrow, and invest in their futures with dignity and security.
Impact in Numbers:
- Over 120,000 women supported through MUFFA.
- 68% of micro-loan beneficiaries are female entrepreneurs.
- Women-led cooperatives have created over 25,000 jobs across rural Cameroon.
Testimonial:
"Thanks to MUFFA, I was able to open a tailoring workshop. Today, I employ 6 other women, and together we are training the next generation of seamstresses," says Aissatou, an entrepreneur from the North Region.says Aissatou, an entrepreneur from the North Region.
Challenges & Opportunities: Cultural norms and limited financial literacy remain challenges, but ADAF continues to provide education sessions, leadership training, and advocacy to strengthen women’s voices in decision-making.
Looking Forward: We aim to expand MUFFA across Central Africa, ensuring that women everywhere can unlock their potential and drive inclusive growth.
